I think I'll make a few of these from different angles because the sculpture's expression changes every angle you look at it. These two paintings were a personal experiment on what results would look like if I didn't draw them first and limiting myself only to a certain number of hours to paint them. How many strokes is necessary to convey a feeling or your take on a subject? Rewarding project. 😁 On view at Bethany Arts Community. Last week of the show.

Sometimes I use procreate to take a painting in progress and expand the canvas size to explore light sources and the angles of light. It's helped me focus on adding depth and gives me places to look for additional information. Love the science as much as painting! Nerd alert! :) This ceramic character makes it debut as the Imposter.
